Kingston Police seeking assistance to identify suspect in downtown theft



Kingston Police have released the above images and are asking for assistance in identifying a suspect in a downtown theft.
At approximately 12:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Apr. 18, 2023, the suspect pictured above attended a store on lower Princess Street in downtown Kingston.
According to a release from Kingston Police, the suspect proceeded to remove approximately $300 worth of various items from the store without making any attempt to pay for the merchandise.
“The suspect is described as a female who was Asian in appearance and in her early 20s. She was approximately 5’4” tall, with a slim to average build and had medium to long black hair,” Kingston Police said.
At the time of the incident, police noted that she was wearing round gold-coloured glasses and had shaved lines through both of her eyebrows. The suspect was wearing a white coloured tracksuit, and a dark vest and was carrying a blue and black backpack with a water bottle in the side pocket that had a blue lid, according to the release.
