Kingston Police seek witnesses to pellet gun shooting at Cataraqui Centre

Local police are asking for help from anyone who may have witnessed a pellet gun shooting at the Cataraqui Centre early last week.

According to police, the incident took place on Monday, Mar. 16, 2020. At approximately 1:30 p.m. that day, two suspects assaulted a victim by shooting him multiple times with a pellet gun. Prior to the assault, there was a brief verbal exchange between the suspects and the victim at the southwest doors of the mall. Following that, the suspects followed the victim into the parking lot and confronted him near the Isabel Turner Branch of the Kingston Frontenac Public Library. There, one of the suspects drew a pellet handgun and shot the victim multiple times.

The two suspects are described as Caucasian males between the ages of 16 and 18, both standing approximately 5’9” with thin builds. The male with the pellet handgun was wearing a bright yellow hoodie and a black neoprene mask, and the second male suspect was wearing a bright red hoodie.
