Kingston Police seek witnesses to February residential fire

Police investigating a residential fire in the southeast end of the Kingscourt neighbourhood are looking for witnesses to that fire, which occurred nearly two months ago.
On Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023, Kingston Fire and Rescue and Kingston Police were dispatched to a residential fire in the area of Carleton and Guy Streets at approximately 10 p.m. Upon arrival, the front door of the residence in question was “fully engulfed in smoke,” according to Kingston Police. Firefighters extinguished the flames, which were contained to the front door area of the home.
“It was later determined by police that the fire was set intentionally,” Kingston Police said in a press release on Wednesday, Apr. 12, 2023.
Police would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have information pertaining to the events.
