In the early morning hours of Sunday, May 23, 2021, a fight broke out at a house party in the 300-block of Victoria Street in Kingston. A female was stabbed, and now Kingston Police detectives are asking for any witnesses and attendees of the party to contact them.

At approximately 2:10 a.m. on the above date, Kingston Police and Frontenac Paramedics attended the scene. Dozens of young, intoxicated persons were in the street and at a house that may normally be student-rented but possibly used as an Airbnb for that weekend, according to a release from Kingston Police. Evidence obtained so far indicates a fight broke out amongst some of those attending, and a 19-year-old local woman sustained serious stab wounds to her arm. Police said in another incident from the same location a young male also had a bottle broken over his head.

Injured parties were treated by paramedics and then transported to hospital, according to the release. While some statements were taken at the scene, investigators wish to speak to anyone else who may have witnessed the stabbing or have information on the identity of the perpetrator. Additionally, any homeowners or tenants that may have been away during police canvassing are asked to review any exterior video surveillance footage around this time frame.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Andrew Wilby at [email protected] or at 549-4660 ext. 6217.
