Kingston Police seek suspect in LCBO theft

Kingston Police have released two stills taken from security footage and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the person pictured, the suspect allegedly “involved in the theft of alcohol from a local business.”

The theft occurred on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2023, when, at approximately 2:45 p.m., the suspect entered the business – an LCBO store – in the area of Division Street and First Canada Avenue.

“The suspect proceeded to steal a 1.14 litre bottle of vodka before exiting the store on foot and leaving the parking lot heading northeast,” Kingston Police said in a press release issued nearly two months after the incident on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024.

Police described the suspect as being Caucasian, and noted the suspect was wearing a black Monster energy hat, a black zip-up hoodie, a white T-shirt, light blue jeans, and black shoes at the time of the theft.

“The suspect was also wearing two gold rings, one on each middle finger of their hands,” police said.
