Update: Located – Kingston Police seek public assistance to locate missing persons

Kingston Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 39-year-old Wiliam St. Jean, missing since Friday, Apr. 26, 2024.

According to police, St. Jean was last seen in the area of the Cataraqui Centre.

“St Jean is known to frequent area shelters,” Kingston Police said in a release. “[St. Jean] was wearing black pants, a dark colored shirt and black baseball hat, and was carrying a blue guitar and orange backpack.”

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of St. Jean is asked to contact Kingston Police at 613-549-4660 ext. 2244 or via email at [email protected].

UPDATE (Monday, Apr. 29, 2024, 8:15 a.m.):
On Sunday, Apr. 28, 2024, Kingston Police added details to their request for assistance in locating 39-year-old Wiliam St. Jean.

In social media posts, police said St. Jean and his son Colin St. Jean, 12 years old, were both reported missing on Friday, Apr. 26, 2024. Both were last seen on foot in the area of Gardiners Road as of Saturday, Apr. 27, 2024.

“William is described as 5’9, 170 lbs was last seen wearing black pants, a dark-colored shirt and pants, a black hat, and was carrying a blue guitar and an orange backpack,” police reported.

“Colin is described as 5’7, 120 lbs and was last seen wearing black Adidas track pants, a black hoodie, a black baseball cap and a black backpack.”

On Monday, Apr. 29, 2024, Kingston Police stated that William St. Jean and his son Colin St. Jean were located safely.

“Kingston Police would like to thank the public for their assistance after two missing individuals, William St. Jean and Collin St. Jean, were safely located in Owen Sound on April 28, 2024. Thank you again to all those who provided tips which assisted police in locating these individuals.”
