Kingston Police seek public assistance to identify assault suspect

Kingston Police have released the above image and are asking for public assistance to identify the female pictured, a suspect in an assault at a downtown Kingston establishment.

Around 1 a.m. on Sunday, Jul. 24, 2022, the victim was in attendance at an establishment located on Princess Street between Barrie Street and Division Street in downtown Kingston, according to a release from Kingston Police.

While inside the establishment, police said that the victim was approached by the suspect and this individual proceeded to throw a glass, and its contained liquid, in the victim’s face. Reportedly, there was no provocation prior to the incident and the suspect was unknown to the victim.

As a result of the assault, the victim had to attend Kingston General Hospital to have an injury to their face assessed and treated, Kingston Police stated.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, with a slim to medium build, with longer light brown hair. She was wearing dark-framed glasses, a light blue dress/skirt, and a tan or light-coloured fedora-style hat with a dark-coloured band.
