Kingston Police seek assistance to identify suspect in downtown theft



Kingston Police have released the above images and are seeking public assistance to identify a suspect in a theft from a downtown Kingston restaurant.
According to police, at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 2, 2023, a theft took place at a hotel restaurant in downtown Kingston.
“The suspect was observed on security video entering the restaurant area of the hotel at which time he removed a debit/credit machine and concealed it in the pocket of his hoodie. The suspect then immediately left the hotel and drove off in a black sedan,” Kingston Police said in a media release dated Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023.
Police described the suspect as Asian, with short black hair, wearing a black Nike hoodie with white lettering as well as dark-coloured jogging pants and dark running shoes.
