Kingston Police seek assistance to identify suspect in downtown robbery



The Kingston Police have released the above images and are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a robbery at a downtown business.
At approximately 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2023, an individual entered a business located in the 200 block of Princess Street. According to a release from Kingston Police, the suspect selected merchandise from within the business and attempted to leave without paying for it. When approached by staff at the business the suspect reportedly threatened violence and fled the premises.
Police said that at the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a dark hooded jacket, a blue shirt, brown pants and light-coloured shoes. The suspect was also wearing a lanyard around their neck and carrying a black bag.
