Kingston Police seek assistance to identify suspect in downtown break and enter

Kingston Police have released the above images and are asking for public assistance to identify a suspect in a break and enter which occurred in downtown Kingston last month.

According to police, between 3 and 6 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 16, 2022, a break and enter occurred at a residence located in downtown Kingston.

“Investigation revealed that upon entering the residence the suspect removed a wallet, containing multiple credit cards, as well as various other items from the home,” Kingston Police said in a media release dated Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023.

Police noted that at approximately 6 a.m. one of these stolen credit cards was used at a restaurant and corner store located in downtown Kingston. “Security video has been obtained of the suspect who fraudulently completed transactions using the stolen credit card,” Kingston Police said.

In the release, police described the suspect as Caucasian with brown hair, and said they were wearing black-rimmed glasses and a black “puffy” jacket.
