Kingston Police seek assistance identifying person of interest in a break and enter investigation

Kingston Police have released the above still images, taken from security footage, and are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the person pictured, whom police say is a person of interest who may have been involved in a break and enter last month.

According to police, during the daytime hours of Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2023, an unknown person or persons broke into a residential unit located in the 300 block of Division Street.

“Members of the Kingston Police Patrol Division responded to the call and initiated an investigation. Through the course of investigation, officers were able to identify a person of interest who may have been involved in this incident,” Kingston Police stated in a media release, dated Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024.

Police described the individual as being Caucasian and standing approximately 5’10” (178 cm) tall, with a slender build, dark scruffy hair, and a beard. Around the time of the incident, the person of interest was seen wearing a dark jacket over a blue hooded shirt with dark grey sweatpants. The person of interest was reportedly also carrying a backpack, and two green, bulky, reusable grocery bags.
