Kingston Police requesting public assistance to identify fraud suspect




Kingston Police have released the above photos and are asking for the public’s assistance in identify the individual pictured, the suspect in a current fraud investigation.
According to police, the fraud occurred in early March of 2022 at a local bank. On Wednesday, Mar. 9, 2022, the suspect entered a bank in Kingston and deposited fraudulent cheques into an account, which had been “opened with a fake identity.”
“In the following days, the suspect attended both the same bank in Kingston, and another branch of the bank in Trenton, where they withdrew cash prior to the bank realizing the cheques were fraudulent,” Kingston Police said in a press release on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022, noting that, at the time of the offence, the suspect was “using the name ‘Tiffany.’”
In response to inquiries from Kingstonist, Kingston Police shared that the suspect was able to obtain $11,386 fraudulently. Police would not say which banking institution the suspect used in the scam.
