The break and enter occurred at a residence on Joseph Street at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, Apr. 28, 2022. During the home invasion, a resident at the address – a female senior citizen – was assaulted. She was subsequently taken to hospital, but has since been released, according to a press release from Kingston Police on Tuesday, May 3, 2022.

As police have continued the investigation, they have obtained security videos from a neighbouring business of the same male suspect that was involved in the home invasion. The suspect also broke into that business the same morning as the home invasion, police said. The video can be viewed here.

“The suspect appears to have short, brown hair and a brown goatee. He was wearing dark-coloured pants and a light-coloured hoodie. The suspect was also notably wearing a long scarf around his neck,” Kingston Police said.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of this suspect or the incidents in question is asked to contact Detective Dave Wein at 613-549-4660 ext. 6198, or via email at [email protected].
