Kingston Police release new information on theft from construction site

Kingston Police have released additional photos and information concerning a break and enter and theft from a commercial property in Kingston’s north end.

According to Kingston Police, officers were dispatched to a construction site in the area of Division Street and Dalton Avenue on Sunday, Mar. 27, 2022, after receiving a report of a break and enter that had occurred at the location.

On Wednesday, Mar. 30, 2022, police said the suspects had gained entry to the construction site by cutting through an entrance gate, allowing them into the inner yard of the site. Both a pickup truck with a salter, and a skid steer loader were stolen from the yard sometime between Sunday, Mar. 20 and Sunday, Mar. 27, 2022, according to Kingston Police.

According to a release from Kingston Police dated Monday, Apr. 4, 2022, security video near the scene captured a picture of the involved truck and trailer suspected of removing the Bobcat S300 skid steer. During the break and enter a blue 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 was also stolen from the scene.

The suspect vehicle is described as a two-tone regular cab pickup truck. The top half of the pickup appears to be light coloured or white with a dark coloured or black lower portion. The pickup truck was pulling a dual axle flatbed trailer.
