Kingston Police make arrest after drug trafficking and firearms investigation

The Kingston Police Street Crime Unit made an arrest on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023, after an investigation into drug trafficking and unlawful firearms possession.

According to a release from Kingston Police, the Street Crime Unit, with the assistance of the Emergency Response Unit, executed a search warrant at 375 Patrick Street on the above date.

Police said that, as a result of the investigation, 22-year-old Adrien Verissimo was charged with a number of firearms offences and possession of drugs under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act for the purpose of trafficking.

According to the release, police seized a loaded 12-gauge shotgun and a replica firearm during the arrest.
