Kingston Police: Local female assaulted police, damaged cruiser

A female teen was arrested and charged after police responded to her “out of control” behaviour, which only escalated upon police arrival.
At approximately 10 p.m. on Monday, May 27, 2019, police were called to attend a residence in central Kingston where the accused female had begun destroying doors in the home and causing a disturbance. Responding officers attempted to speak to the accused female, but she pushed an officer with both hands and then attempted to punch him. The accused female was arrested, but she refused to calm down and continued to attempt to assault the officers.
Once placed inside a police cruiser, the accused proceeded to violently kick at the Plexiglas divider, resulting in a large piece of the divider being damaged as a result of her incessant kicking.
The accused female was taken to Kingston Police Headquarters where she was later released on conditions with a future court date. The 14-year-old female was charged with assaulting police and mischief under $5,000.
