Kingston Police investigating violent incident

Kingston Police are investigating a violent incident that occurred at approximately 10:15 a.m. at a residence in the area of Division Street and Pine Street on Tuesday, Jul. 28.

According to Kingston Police Media Relations Officer Ash Gutheinz, one male was assaulted, suffering serious injuries from the knife attack, and taken to Kingston General Hospital for treatment.

It is believed that the suspect and the victim knew one another and Kingston Police are making attempts to locate the suspect who police have identified as part of the investigation.

The suspect, Conway Woods, fled the scene and is currently wanted by police.

Woods is described by Kingston Police as a white male, weighing 170 lbs, about 173 cm tall, with brown eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing jean shorts, black shoes, and no shirt.

Woods’ whereabouts are currently unknown, however, he may be armed with a weapon and should not be approached by members of the public, say police.
