Kingston Police investigating stabbing incident on city bus

Kingston Police are continuing to investigate a violent incident on a Kingston city bus this afternoon.
Police and Frontenac Paramedics were dispatched to the intersection of Taylor Kidd Boulevard and Princess St at around 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 16, 2020, after receiving a report of a stabbing on board a Kingston Transit bus.
The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries by Frontenac Paramedics at the scene, and subsequently transported to hospital for further treatment.
The suspect fled the scene but was arrested by Kingston Police shortly thereafter, without further incident. The suspect, a young offender, cannot be named. He was held in custody at Kingston Police headquarters pending a bail hearing.
Kingston Police continues to interview witnesses and gather evidence from the scene.
