Kingston Police investigating hit and run involving black pickup truck

On Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021, a 2011 four-door Hyundai, bronze in colour, was hit from behind by a large black pickup truck with black push bar/grates on the front, while waiting at the westbound red light at the corner of Princess Street and Centennial Drive.

Kingston Police are currently investigating this hit and run collision that took place at 10 a.m., according to a release from Kingston Police.

The truck has been described as a newer model pickup with a lone male driver, police said. This black pickup truck pushed the smaller vehicle several feet into the intersection, then reversed and turned southbound onto Centennial Drive fleeing the scene, according to the release.

Police said the motor vehicle was last seen westbound on Davis Drive. The driver of the Hyundai was not injured in this incident, however, the vehicle received significant damage to the rear bumper.
