Kingston Police investigating gas station ATM robbery

Kingston Police are continuing to investigate the brazen robbery of a gas station Automated Teller Machine (ATM) in the early hours of Saturday, Jul. 8, 2023.

Officers were dispatched to the gas station, convenience store and restaurant location on Highway 15 near Highway 401 in Kingston early on Saturday morning, following a report that suspects had broken through the storefront window and stolen an ATM through the window.

Police had cordoned off the gas station’s fuel pumps and parking lot with caution tape as forensic investigation officers assessed the scene late on Saturday morning. Pieces of the ATM shell were strewn through the parking lot.

There were no known injuries in the incident. Kingston Police did not immediately respond to inquiries of whether the suspects were still at large.
