Kingston Police investigating death in Belle Park area

Kingston Police are investigating the death of an individual located in a tent in the Belle Park area.

Around 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023, Kingston Police responded to the report of a deceased individual and located the deceased inside a tent, according to Constable Anthony Colangeli, Media Relations Officer for Kingston Police.

Police said there is no risk to public safety.

The victim’s identity has not been released at this time, nor have the circumstances surrounding the death.

Detectives from the Kingston Police Criminal Investigations Division have taken over the investigation from the Patrol Division, Colangeli stated. Police continue to work in cooperation with the Coroner’s Office.
