Kingston Police investigating after residents shot by BB guns

Local police are currently investigating after three individuals were shot by BB guns in downtown Kingston over the weekend.
The first incident occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 11, 2020, when a female was shot from a BB gun fired from a vehicle travelling on Johnson Street. The victim was standing on her own front lawn when she was struck by the shot. She then contacted Kingston Police, who responded, but were unable to find the suspect as there were few descriptors of the suspect from the witness, according to police.
The following night, Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Kingston Police received another call regarding the same matter. That night, two individuals outside in the 800 block of Johnson Street were also shot by a BB gun from a moving vehicle.
“Unfortunately we have no suspect information, other than to say that the BBs were shot from a moving vehicle travelling down Johnson Street,” said Const. Ash Gutheinz, Media Relations Officer with Kingston Police.
“The matter is being taken seriously and there is an ongoing investigation by our Criminal Investigations Division.”
Anyone with information regarding these events or the suspects possibly involved is asked to contact Kingston Police at 613-549-4660.
