Kingston Police: Deceased female identified

The female found deceased in boat just off of Belle Island has been successfully identified, according to Kingston Police.

Police had previously asked for public assistance in identifying the woman, who was found in a sailboat on Sunday, Apr. 21, 2019. The female was one of two parties found in the boat, both deceased, in what police and the Regional Coroner’s Office have called ‘sudden deaths.’ Police said the deaths do not appear to be criminally suspicious.

Kingston Police wish to thank all those who shared the information on the deceased woman in order to successfully identify her, according to Media Relations Officer Const. Ashley Gutheinz. Police will not be releasing the names of the deceased parties, nor the cause of death in these cases, Gutheinz said.
