Kingston Police capture murder suspect

Kingston Police say they have captured John McKenna, the suspect in a homicide in downtown Kingston.

“At approximately 10:30 p.m. last night on April 9, 2022 murder suspect John McKenna was spotted in the 100 block of Montreal Street. A foot pursuit ensued with members from General Patrol and he was located and arrested a short time later hiding in a shed on Raglan Road,” Kingston Police confirmed in a press release.

“McKenna was taken into custody without incident,” Kingston Police continued. “He appears before a Justice of the Peace this morning. We would like to thank the public, who provided information, for their assistance in locating and arresting this individual.”
