Update: Kingston Police asking potential witnesses to come forward

After obtaining more images from security cameras in the area, Kingston Police have provided an update with regard to identifying possible witnesses to the double homicide that occurred in Kingston on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021.

Kingston Police originally made an appeal for public assistance in identifying possible witnesses on Friday, Oct. 22, 2021, who were operating the pictured vehicle in the area of Sydenham Road where the homicide took place. While the image shared through the media at that point (below) was originally described as a red/orange coloured SUV, the new surveillance footage of the vehicle has clarified that the vehicle is actually burgundy in colour.

“Again, these people were in the area of Sydenham Rd/401 car park and walking a white coloured dog. They were parked in the lot at approximately 6:00 p.m. to 6:35 p.m.,” Kingston Police said in a press release on Monday, Oct. 25, 2021.

Kingston Police are asking that the occupants of the burgundy SUV contact Detective Constable Joel Fisher at 613-549-4660 Extension 6338 of the Major Crime Unit.

Additionally, anyone who may have witnessed anything in this area on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021, or who may have any information regarding the possible occupants of the above vehicle is asked to contact Kingston Police.

Police are appealing to the public to assist with identifying possible witnesses who were operating a vehicle in Kingston’s Sydenham Road area on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021, as the occupants may have information relevant to a double homicide that day.

“This vehicle is described as a red/orange colored suv that was observed in the Sydenham Road/Highway 401 Carpool on the 16th of October 2021 at approximately 6 p.m.,” said a release from Kingston Police. “The occupants were observed exiting this vehicle and walking a white colored dog.”

Police are asking the occupants to contact either Detective Constable Joel Fisher at 613-549-4660 Ext. 6338 or Detective Sergeant Chad Parslow Ext. 6245 of the Major Crime Unit.

Those with information can also provide tips anonymously by calling the Kingston Police general number 613-549-4660 ext. 0 and asking to remain anonymous.
