Kingston Police asking for assistance to identify female suspected of fraud

Kingston Police have released the above image and are asking for public assistance to identify the female pictured, who is suspected of using credit cards stolen from a locker room in downtown Kingston.

Between 6:30 and 7 p.m. on Sunday, Apr. 10, 2022, several items were stolen by an unknown suspect from a locker room of a sports facility in downtown Kingston. According to a release from Kingston Police, among the stolen items were multiple wallets and cell phones. The wallets contained various identification cards, bank cards, and credit cards.

Police said that shortly after 7 p.m. on this same date, security video captured a female suspect using one of the stolen credit cards at a gas station in Kingston’s east end. On this same evening, one of the stolen credit cards was also used at a grocery store in downtown Kingston.

According to the release, multiple victims were identified in this incident as a result of the thefts. Between the replacement value of the stolen cell phones and the fraudulent purchases made using the stolen credit cards, Kingston Police said that the victims incurred a financial loss of over $5,000.

The suspect who was involved in making the fraudulent purchases is described as a Caucasian female, with light brown/blond hair and a medium build. She was wearing dark-coloured pants and a distinctive maroon long sleeve shirt with her shoulders exposed and two rows of small circular buttons/appliques down the front.
