Kingston Police ask for public help to identify theft suspects

Kingston Police have released the above image and the below videos, and are requesting assistance from the public to identify those pictured, two individuals suspected of theft.

In a press release on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023, police said that, during the last week of October 2023, two suspects attended several commercial buildings within the City of Kingston, including Veterans Affairs offices. On these occasions, the pair were driving what appeared to be a dark-coloured Mazda four-door car with seven-spoke silver/grey wheels, according to police.

“The suspects gained access to Canada Post mailboxes and proceeded to steal official documents including financial and personal data which could be used to perpetrate various identity thefts,” Kingston Police said.

Police described the first suspect as a heavier-set Caucasian male, who was wearing blue jeans and a dark shirt and black jacket during the incidents, and was also seen wearing a black baseball cap and walking with a noticeable limp.

“The suspect also wore black running shoes with white soles,” police said of the first suspect.

The second suspect was wearing a black hooded jacket with a white mask, which covered the lower portion of their face, according to police.
