Update: Located – Kingston Police ask for public assistance to locate missing youth

According to Kingston Police, Michael McLellan-Mercer, 13, has been located safely.
In a press release on Thursday, Mar. 17, 2022, Kingston Police relayed that Michael was located in Kingston’s west end at approximately 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Mar. 16, 2022. The youth had been reported missing two days earlier, on Tuesday, Mar. 15, 2022.
“Kingston Police would like to thank the public for their assistance,” Const. Ash Gutheinz, Media Relations Officer for Kingston Police said in the press release. “Thank you to all those who assisted in locating Michael and shared information in regards to his possible whereabouts.”

Kingston Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing male youth, Michael McLellan-Mercer, 13 years of age.
According to Kingston Police, McLellan-Mercer was last seen in the area of Portsmouth Avenue and Elmwood Street at approximately 12:00 a.m. on March 15, 2022. However, his current whereabouts are unknown. He is known to frequent the area of Concession Street and Division Street as well as the Cataraqui Centre in Kingston’s west end.
McLellan-Mercer is described by police as Caucasian, 5’8” tall, weighing 140 lbs, with brown hair. Police say he was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black coat, white shoes and a black back pack.
