Kingston Police arrest motorcyclist after month of reckless actions

Kingston Police have arrested a motorcycle driver who had been attempting to engage officers several times during the month of June.
According to a release from police, on these occasions, the driver would try to engage officers by both gesturing towards them and by driving recklessly at high rates of speed. Through the course of the investigation, officers were able to determine the identity of the driver.
At approximately 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jun. 29, 2023, members of the Kingston Police arrested the individual who had been identified as the driver. During the course of the arrest it was discovered the individual was in possession of a quantity of cocaine, police said.
The 32-year-old individual from Kingston is charged with:
- Two counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
- Two counts of failing to stop for police
- Possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of proceeds obtained by crime
Police said the individual was transported to Kingston Police Headquarters and held in custody pending a bail hearing.
