Kingston Police arrest and charge local woman for trafficking drugs

A local woman is facing charges after the Kingston Police Street Crime Unit executed a drug search warrant at a house on Division Street last month.
On Friday, Nov. 26, 2021, members of the Kingston Police Street Crime Unit executed the warrant with the assistance of the Emergency Response Unit.
According to a release from Kingston Police, the target of the investigation, Kristine Bedard, a 40 year old from Kingston, was not home upon entry. Street Crime officers located Bedard in the downtown area as her home was being searched, police said.
Bedard was in possession of a quantity of cocaine and crystal methamphetamine on her person as well as evidence of drug trafficking, according to the release.
Bedard is charged with:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and crystal methamphetamine, and
- Possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000.
