Kingston man facing impaired driving charges thanks to 911 call
A 57-year-old man from the Kingston area is facing charges after a citizen in Yarker alerted police of his impaired driving.
On Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018, officers with the Napanee detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a 911 call at approximately 11 a.m. The caller reported a male who had been drinking at the corner store in Yarker, and the male was observed getting into a vehicle and leaving the area on County Road 1.
OPP officers conducted a traffic stop south of Newburg, and found the male to be impaired. Kingston area resident John Connor, 57, is charged. He was released on a promise to appear, with his first court appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018.
