Kingston man facing impaired driving charges after collision in Stone Mills

The Lennox and Addington (L&A) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a local man after a single vehicle collision investigation found him to be impaired by alcohol.

At approximately 12:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 23, 2019, officers responded to the collision on County Road 15 in Stone Mills Township. As a result of the ensuing investigation, the male driver involved in the incident was charged.

Carl Wagar, 53, of Kingston was charged with operating a motor vehicle while over the legal blood alcohol limit. Wagar was issued a 90-day automatic drivers licence suspension, and his vehicle was impounded for seven days. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Napanee in early September.
