Kingston man arrested on child luring and child pornography charges

As the result of an ongoing child luring investigation, Kingston Police Internet and Child Exploitation Unit have arrested and charged a 38-year-old local man.

Police arrested Tony Samuels of Kingston on Thursday, Apr. 4, 2019, according to a press release from Kingston Police. Police became involved in an investigation in relation to a suspect Facebook user who had been communicating online with a female child under the age of 18 on Tuesday, Apr. 2, 2019. As a result of that investigation, Samuels was identified.

Samuels, was formerly known as Ryan Belbin, was arrested yesterday after a search warrant was executed at his home in Kingston. Samuels was charged with: luring a child, making child pornography, possession of child pornography, and breach of recognizance.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, the Kingston Police are seeking the assistance of the public in identifying further victims. The Kingston Police are asking for information from anyone that may have had any contact with the following names on social media: Troy SAMUELS, Ryan BELBIN, Ryan Ber, ry.be.9041, [email protected], aperc9998 and apercian9.

The accused appeared in bail court on Thursday, Apr. 4, 2019. The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court again on Wednesday, Apr. 10, 2019.
