A local man’s violence and destruction has landed him with three charges after police responded to a domestic dispute at a downtown residence in Kingston.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019, when the accused man became angry with the female victim – his pregnant girlfriend – after finding out she had answered the door at her residence the day before. The altercation became physical, and the accused man put the victim in a choke hold, and then grabbed her hard by the face to prevent her from speaking. The accused man then destroyed the victim’s cellphone, and continued damaging walls and items throughout the home while waving a knife around. The accused man then cut cords on electronic devices in the home before finally leaving.

Two days later the accused man was located and arrested.
