Kingston driver facing impaired driving charges

Officers from the South Frontenac Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver on Road 38, South Frontenac Township, just before 8 p.m. on Saturday, Jul. 31, 2021.

According to a release from OPP, dated Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2021, officers located the vehicle and driver. As a result of this investigation Plessy Vivian, age 54 of Kingston, has been charged with the following offences:

• Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

• Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released on an Undertaking to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kingston later this month.

Vivian had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and their vehicle towed and impounded for seven days. They will be responsible for all related fees and fines.
