Kingston Domino’s location reopens after closure due to COVID-19 cases

The Domino’s Pizza location at 1201 Division Street has reopened after a one-day closure due to COVID-19 cases amongst its staff.
After several inquiries during the closure, Domino’s Canada confirmed on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020 that the location had, indeed, closed on Monday, Nov. 16, 2020 for a deep cleaning and opened again on the afternoon of Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2020. This occurred after two staff members at the location “indicated that they tested positive for COVID-19,” according to Jeff Kacmarek, Vice President of Marketing & New Product Development for Domino’s Pizza of Canada.
“The team members have not worked in the store in three days. The store followed all requirements set by the local health authorities before re-opening, so that they can once again serve the community,” he said.
“The team members will also remain home until it is safe for them to return to the store, per the guidance from these authorities.”
This closure came at the same time Dr. Kieran Moore, Medical Officer of Health for KHL&A Public Health discussed the rising cases at local restaurants, and before KFL&A Public Health requested all restaurant workers get tested for COVID-19 as a result on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020.
