Kingston daycare temporarily closed after COVID-19 case detected

A francophone daycare within the City of Kingston has announced it has a confirmed case of COVID-19 within its student population and will be closing its doors for a minimum of one week to limit the spread of the virus.
Garderie Éducative de Kingston posted the news to its Facebook page on the evening of Friday, March 27th, 2021.
“We are working closely with Public Health and will share any new information as soon as it becomes available,” the Facebook post stated.
“We were notified by Public Health that there is a confirmed case of COVID-19 at our daycare. Families and staff have been contacted and are following Public Health protocols,” the statement added.
The daycare is located at 72 Gilmour Avenue in Kingston. Anyone who believes they have come into contact with someone from the daycare should monitor for symptoms of COVID-19.
