Grownup Storytime returns to Kingston Frontenac Public Library (KFPL) this fall. The online program allows adults to connect with other readers and, as organizer Margi McKay says, “Why should kids have all the fun?”

According to a release from KFPL, even adults enjoy a good storytime, especially with a live reader instead of an audiobook. Have lunch, work on a hobby, or sit and take a break from your busy day while listening to short stories or chapters from longer works, live, the library suggested.

Participants are welcome to stay online after storytime to discuss what they’ve heard, according to the release. Everyone will receive an email the same day with links to the KFPL catalogue to reserve both the sources of the day’s readings and other related titles.

Grownup Storytime will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. every Monday from October 18 through November 22, 2021. Participants can attend as many or as few sessions as they would like. KFPL notes that registering for one session automatically registers participants for the full six-week series.

Register online at https://calendar.kfpl.ca/event/5521779 or by phone at (613) 549-8888. Registrants will be emailed a Zoom link immediately upon registration and will also need to have the latest version of Zoom on the device they will be using.
