KFPL session will see would-be homebuyers learning from local agents

Local real estate agent Erin Gallagher and mortgage agent Melissa Forman will help would-be homebuyers learn about challenges in the current real estate market. In a live online session, hosted by the Kingston Frontenac Public Library (KFPL), the agents will discuss the many factors homebuyers need to consider to navigate this life change.
“First-time home buyers face unique challenges when entering the real estate market. High demand for housing, limited inventory and real estate prices can make it difficult to negotiate the buying process,” the library said in a media release.
The online session will run from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Mar. 4, 2023. According to the library, those in attendance will gain valuable knowledge to help make informed decisions when purchasing their first home including getting pre-approved, incentives for first-time home buyers, finding the right home and putting in an offer.
“Kingston’s real estate market changed significantly during the pandemic, and first-time home ownership is intimidating at the best of times,” said Jake Miller, Librarian, Adult Programming. “Buying a home is a significant investment and having the right information and guidance to make the best decisions is important. This event will give people the resources they need.”
KFPL said that the presentation is free to attend, and registration is required. Interested individuals can register by visiting https://calendar.kfpl.ca/event/7924312 or calling (613) 549-8888
