KFPL Live: Iona Whishaw to read from new book A Lethal Lesson

Kingston Frontenac Public Library (KFPL) is hosting a Zoom presentation by Iona Whishaw, in which she will read from her newest Lane Winslow Mystery, A Lethal Lesson.
“If you’re one of our region’s many fans of British Columbia writer Iona Whishaw and her Lane Winslow mysteries, mark your calendar for a special treat!” said Anne Hall, Librarian, Programming & Outreach for KFPL. “The latest volume in the series, A Lethal Lesson, is now at Kingston Frontenac Public Library and in area bookstores, and Iona is on a cross-Canada virtual tour to connect with her readers. KFPL is delighted to be hosting her for a one-hour Zoom visit at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8.”
“It’s December 1947 and ex-intelligence officer Lane Winslow and her policeman husband are back home in the Kootenays after their Arizona honeymoon,” Hall continued, outlining a brief synopsis of the book. “Lane volunteers to fill in at the local one-room school when neither the outgoing nor the incoming teacher shows up for work one snowy Monday morning. Series fans won’t be surprised to learn that something sinister has happened to both educators!”
The interactive presentation for adults will happen over Zoom at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jun. 8, 2021. Iona Whishaw will read from her new Lane Winslow mystery A Lethal Lesson and talk about her writing.
Registration opened Saturday, May 22, 2021, and interested participants can online at calendar.kfpl.ca or by phone at (613) 549-8888. A Zoom link will be emailed to registrants immediately upon registration and participants will need to download the latest version of Zoom in advance to whichever device they’ll be using during the presentation.
