Daren Dougall, the Regional Manager for the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services has been named 2021 Campaign Chair for the United Way of Kingston Frontenac Lennox and Addington’s 2021 campaign, its 80th.

“I am excited and looking forward to doing what I can to make the 2021 campaign a huge success,” said Dougall. “I believe every person in our community matters.  We need to do everything we possibly can to eliminate barriers that our friends, family and neighbours face to achieving health and happiness; United Way works to do just that and I am honoured to be asked to contribute to my community this year as Campaign Chair.”

Dougall, formerly the Executive Director of Youth Diversion, is also an educator, working with Queen’s University as a sessional Adjunct Professor. He’s also a graduate of Queen’s University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Education.

According to a news release from the local United Way chapter, this year’s campaign will continue to address new challenges as the community works together to find innovative ways to support those most impacted by the pandemic.

“This year’s campaign will continue with the theme of ‘Local Love’ and how this local love can be seen in action and in response as our community continues to adapt to the current circumstances,” the news release stated.

The campaign will begin on Friday, September 10th, 2021.
