Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington (KFL&A) Public Health has declared a COVID-19 outbreak at St. Patrick Catholic School, an elementary school located in Harrowsmith on Wilton Road.

The outbreak was declared on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021, and involves three student cases, according to data from both KFL&A Public Health, and the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board (ALCDSB). All three of those cases are currently active, though it is unclear when any of the cases were detected, as the ALCDSB does not list that information on its listing of active COVID-19 cases within the board. The school remains open at this time.

The school is one of three area schools to have COVID-19 outbreaks declared (publicly) on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021, with two schools declaring outbreaks the day before. Currently, there are eight schools within the LDSB with declared outbreaks, and 56 active cases of COVID-19 within the board. In the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board (ALCDSB), three schools within KFL&A have declared outbreaks, and there are over nine cases of COVID-19 within the board locally, though the not all numbers are provided for schools where active outbreaks are occurring.

There are currently 24 active outbreaks in KFL&A and 78 active COVID-19 cases associated with those outbreaks.
