KEDCO Appoints New Board of Directors
The Kingston Economic Development Corporation (KEDCO) appointed new Directors to the Board during a Members Meeting held on Monday, December 10, at the Cataraqui Golf and Country Club.
New Directors appointed are Peter Kraus, retired INVISTA Canada Site Manager; Dave MacLeod, former CFB Base Commander; Adam Koven, CEO of Rosen Energy Group Inc.; and, Sandra Gibson, Certified General Accountant with Gibson Turner Moore LLP. Joining the Board of Directors is Councillor Brian Reitzel from Pittsburgh District who was appointed by Kingston City Council earlier this month.
Elected Officers of the Board for 2013 were confirmed, with Dean Byrnes, former KEDCO Board Vice-Chair and President of Eikon Device assuming the role of Chair. Tim Sugrue and Peter Kraus were elected Vice Chairs; Adam Koven – Treasurer; and, Jim Gibson – Secretary.
KEDCO is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of four appointees from City Council and eight appointees from the community. The Board is responsible for providing leadership in making Kingston a better place in which to visit, live, work and do business. The Board of Directors is appointed annually with staggered one, two or three-year terms.
The KEDCO Board and staff bid farewell to outgoing Directors Derek Winton, Gord MacDougall, David Rutenberg, Debi Wells and Councillor Rick Downes.
