Joyceville road accident leads to death of 27-year-old Kingston man

An early morning accident on Joyceville Road on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2020 has resulted in the death of a local 27-year-old, Kingston Police have confirmed.
According to Sgt. Nadine Legare of Kingston Police confirmed that only one vehicle was involved in the collision, which took place between Middle Road and the Husky gas station in Kingston’s east end. The vehicle involved struck a rock face on the roadside in the area, but Legare said she could not confirm that was the cause of the death, as the incident is still under investigation.
Police closed the stretch of Joyceville Road for several hours and requested that motorist avoid the area on Wednesday and the Kingston Police Traffic Safety Unit conducted a Level-4 collision reconstruction as a result of the crash. The road has since reopened to traffic.
Kingston Police said they were not able to release the name of the deceased at this time. Kingstonist will update this article as more information becomes available.
