The INVISTA Centre has reopened the four ice pads as well as the fitness center as part of the province’s phase three re-opening framework and under guidance from KFL&A Public Health, the City of Kingston said in a release dated Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2020.
Health and safety measures have been put in to place at the multi-use center, located at 1350 Gardiners Road, to comply with the provincial framework and local health protocols, according to the release. These measures include capacity limits, health screenings and increased cleaning and sanitization to ensure that the safety of staff and patrons is paramount.
“We know people are excited to get back on the ice and into fitness routines,” says Bill Rogerson, Manager Recreation Facilities. “We appreciate the support of our patrons, our facility partners and user groups as we re-open this important community asset.”
