The incident occurred in the early morning hours of Sunday, Oct. 31, 2021, when, at approximately 1:30 a.m., two males began arguing inside an unspecified establishment in the area. As the dispute moved outside into the parking lot of the Pizza Pizza, located at the intersection of Princess and Division Streets, the fight escalated, and one of the males assaulted the other, resulting in significant injuries to the victim. As of Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021 – when Kingston Police released initial details on the incident – the suspect remained at large, and police requested public assistance in identifying the male suspect, whose image was released to the public at that time.

On Monday, Dec. 6, 2021, Kingston Police said the male victim, who suffered seriously life-threatening injuries, is continuing to “receive intensive medical care.” Police released further photos of the suspect and are, once again, requesting public assistance to identify the male pictured.

The suspect is described as a white male standing 5’9” to 5’10” with a thin to medium build. He has short, dark hair that is “described as thick,” and facial hair stubble. The man is believed to be approximately 19 to 23 years old.

Police also provided a description of the clothing the male suspect was wearing at the time of the assault: a black t-shirt, a black leather vest, black jeans, and black shoes with white soles.

“The suspect may be attending a post-secondary school in Kingston, however, [he] may originate from another area,” Kingston Police said.

Anyone with information regarding this incident or the identity of this male is asked to contact Detective Constable Adam Slate at 613-549-4660 ext. 6366, or via email at [email protected].
