Information pickets at CFB Kingston
Members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada’s Union of National Defence Employees (UNDE) will be conducting information pickets around Canadian Forces Base Kingston from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Monday, February 10, 2020.
“Employees on their own free time or on a lawful strike are permitted by law to picket peacefully for the purpose of obtaining or communicating information,” said Captain Kim Lemaire, Public Affairs Officer at CFB Kingston, in a press release.
“Safety, patience, and respect are the top priorities of the Defence Team at CFB Kingston. Everyone is urged to remain calm, professional and courteous and to exercise caution when demonstrators and motor vehicles are in close proximity,” continued Lemaire.
Travellers should expect delays on Highways 2 and 15, especially during rush-hour times.
Any complaints involving demonstrators should be referred to monitoring teams or the Military Police at CFB Kingston.
