Members of the Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a driver with impaired driving.
At approximately 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2022, officers were conducting general patrol when they observed a vehicle being driven erratically. Officers initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle on County Road 6 in Stone Mills Township, according to a release from the OPP.
As part of an investigation, an Approved Screening Device (ASD) was administered, and the driver was subsequently arrested and transported to detachment for further testing, OPP said.
Dylan Reid, 27 years old, of Stone Mills Township, was charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Reid was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee later this month. His licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days. Reid will be responsible for all related fees and fines.
