Impaired driver arrested after collision at bridge on Kingston Mills Road

A local woman is facing charges after Kingston Police were called to Kingston Mills Road for a report of a single-vehicle collision.
At 3 a.m. on Monday, Mar. 21, 2022, responding officers located the vehicle in the middle of the road at the bridge on Kingston Mills Road. According to a release from Kingston Police, the vehicle had significant front and passenger side damage.
Police said that when they arrived on scene the vehicle was on and the accused was found sitting in the vehicle. Officers noted that the accused appeared to be impaired by alcohol and located a half-empty open bottle of liquor inside the vehicle, according to the release.
The accused was arrested and transported to police headquarters where she refused to provide a breath sample, police said. According to the release, the accused was held till sober and later with a future court date.
A 55-year-old local woman was charged with impaired operation and fail to provide breath sample, under the Criminal Code of Canada.
