High school football triple-header set for tomorrow

A pair of Kingston football championships will take place tomorrow after being postponed this past weekend.
The two championship games scheduled, which had been scheduled for Saturday Nov. 16, 2019, were rescheduled to Thursday Nov. 21, 2019 due the large amount of snow that covered the field at Richardson Stadium last week.
The day will also include the junior consolation final, and all three games are being played at Richardson Stadium.
The day kicks off with the junior consolation final between the KCVI Blues and the LaSalle Black Knights at noon. This will be the last football game played by KCVI ahead of the school’s closing at the end of this school year.
The Eastern Ontario Secondary School Athletic Association (EOSSAA) Senior final kicks off at 2 p.m. between Kingston Area Secondary Schools Athletic Association (KASSAA) Champion Holy Cross Crusaders and the St. Joseph’s Panthers from Cornwall. The winner will advance to the Ontario Federation of Schools Athletic Association Eastern Bowl in Hamilton on Tuesday Nov. 26, 2019. Game time is 3 p.m. at Ron Joyce Stadium on the campus of McMaster University.
The KASSAA Junior Final will follow at 4 p.m. between the Sydenham Golden Eagles and the Holy Cross Crusaders. Sydenham goes into the game after a 6-0 perfect regular season. The Crusaders finished the season in second place with a 5-1 record. The Crusaders only loss was a 38-35 nail biter at Sydenham on Friday, Oct. 25, 2019.
